We support academic growth and social-emotional learning by identifying students' strengths and providing leadership opportunities throughout the day. Students feel good about who they are, grow in confidence, and are willing to take academic risks and give 100% effort.

We have an active PTA, providing additional funding for student programs and experiences. Partnering with our staff, our PTA organizes and supports monthly family events, enhancing our community and connecting us to the greater Janesville community.

We provide a positive, all-inclusive culture and climate, fostering partnerships and connections. Van Buren is a pod school, where 2nd - 5th grade are housed in an open concept learning zone, which promotes and encourages collaboration and support for ALL learners.
